2024 Election: Bernard Mornah, Janet Nabla, and 9 Others Disqualified from Presidential Race

The Electoral Commission (EC) has disqualified Bernard Mornah of the People’s National Convention (PNC) and Janet Nabla of the People’s National Party (PNP) from participating in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for December 7, 2024.

This decision was communicated by the EC in a statement released on Friday, September 20, 2024.

In addition to Mornah and Nabla, other disqualified presidential aspirants include Nana Stephens Adjepong, Paul Perkoh, James Kwesi Oppong, John Enyonam Kwakwu Kpikpi, Dr. Samuel Sampong Ankrah, and Nii Amu Darko.

Also disqualified are Samuel Apea-Danquah, Desmond Abrefah, and Kofi Asamoah Siaw from the Progressive People’s Party (PPP).

The disqualifications followed a detailed review of the Nomination Forms submitted between September 9 and September 13, 2024, to ensure adherence to legal requirements.

The EC further announced that several other candidates successfully met the nomination criteria and are eligible to contest in the 2024 Presidential Election.
