Starting today, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) has launched an online platform for voters to verify their details on the provisional register in preparation for the 2024 General Elections.
The digital exhibition will run until Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Voters can access the online verification by using the free shortcode *71151# or by visiting the EC’s official website, where they can check their registration information by entering their 10-digit Voter ID.
Any discrepancies found during this process must be reported to the District Office where the voter is registered, as corrections can only be made during the exhibition period.
The EC has highlighted that while online verification will still be available after the exhibition ends, corrections will no longer be possible.
This initiative is part of the EC’s ongoing efforts to ensure an accurate and up-to-date voter register ahead of the final compilation for the upcoming elections.
