Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has reaffirmed his dedication to addressing Ghana’s youth unemployment crisis.
Speaking at a rally in Kpando, Volta Region, Bawumia outlined his ambitious plan to create one million jobs if elected as the next president of Ghana. His approach focuses on equipping the youth with essential digital skills, enabling them to compete in the global job market, regardless of their educational background.
Bawumia emphasized that solving youth unemployment is his top priority and stressed that empowering young people with the tools to thrive in the digital economy is critical to overcoming the country’s unemployment challenges.
“We need jobs for the youth. I will provide one million young people with digital skills in Ghana. Even if you’re a school dropout, we can equip you with digital skills,” he stated. “With these skills, you can stay in Kpando and work for companies in America, Germany, Japan, or the UK, right from here.”
