President Mahama Undertakes On Peace Mission To Bawku

President John Dramani Mahama is set to visit Bawku today, focusing on fostering lasting peace in the conflict-stricken area.

The President’s first engagement will be a meeting with the Bawku Naaba, Zug-raan Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, the paramount chief of the Kusaug Traditional Area.

He will then proceed to meet with Nayiiri Bohagu Abdulai Mahami, the overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional Area.

These meetings highlight President Mahama’s commitment to engaging local leaders and stakeholders in finding sustainable solutions to the conflict.

During his visit, the President is expected to address pressing security concerns in the area and reaffirm his administration’s dedication to restoring peace and promoting development in Bawku.

Ahead of the trip, President Mahama held a briefing with heads of various security agencies at the Accra Airport to review the security situation and strategize for his visit.
