Stephen Appiah, Randy Abbey To Lead New Black Stars Management Team

Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, has a newly constituted management committee following their disappointing 2025 AFCON qualification campaign.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) dissolved the previous management committee, chaired by GFA Vice President Mark Addo, after Ghana’s elimination from the qualification race was confirmed.

The new five-member committee comprises GFA Executive Council (EXCO) Member Dr. Randy Abbey, former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, Medeama SC President Moses Armah, FC Samartex President Richard Nsenkyire, and Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association Samuel Aboabire.

Dr. Randy Abbey will lead the committee as Chairman, with Stephen Appiah serving as Vice Chairman and overseeing Player Relations. Matchday activities and operations will be managed by Samuel Aboabire and Moses Armah, while Richard Nsenkyire will handle special duties related to the Black Stars. The Black Stars’ next challenge will be a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad, scheduled for March 19.
