Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the Finance Minister, is scheduled to present the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
The presentation aims to update the House on the implementation of the government’s 2024 Budget, provide revised financial plans, and offer an updated economic outlook for Ghana.
In a statement dated Monday, July 22, the Ministry indicated that the review would cover the implementation of the 2024 budget, with insights into the economic and fiscal performance for the first half of the year.
The review will include updates on growth measures, revenue, expenditure performance, financing, and debt sustainability.
Additionally, the Minister will update Parliament on the implementation of the ongoing US$3 billion International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan-supported Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG).
This will be Dr. Amin Adam’s first presentation in Parliament since assuming office as Finance Minister in February 2024, in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
