Alban Bagbin Set Up Nine-Member Committee To Probe The Collapse Of UTBank & UniBank

The Speaker of Ghana Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has set up a nine-member committee to look into a petition be received from majority shareholders of collapsed UniBank and UT Bank .


In the petition, they asked Parliament to investigate the conduct of the Bank of Ghana and the Ghana Stock Exchange for revocation of their operating license.


After the Speaker ruling, he was to form a seven-member committee to look into the issues but on Tuesday, he reversed his decision by announcing a nine-member committee to look into the matter.


The Speaker said that the First Deputy Speaker, Joseph Osei Owusu, Member of Parliament for Bekwai constituency will be the chair of the panel
