American Rapper, Nas’s Father Changes Name After Tracing Root To Nigeria

American rapper artist, Nas, is a top choice for some Nigerians particularly after many fans discovered that his relatives have their underlying foundations in Nigeria.

The multiple-award-winning rapper is the child of mainstream American guitarist and artist, Olu Dara Jones.

The rapper’s father was initially conceived Charles Jones III on January 12, 1941, in Natchez, Mississippi. He educated at Tennessee State University and that was the place where he followed his foundations to the Yoruba individuals in Nigeria.

Having found his foundations, All Music reports that Charles Jones had his name changed to Oluwadara, a name which means ‘God is Good’ in the Yoruba language.

As indicated by Wikipedia, Olu at first got an interest in music as a youngster and he wound up taking clarinet and piano exercises. He started off his profession in the Navy where he was an artist between the time of 1959-1964.

During the 70s and 80s, Olu was the pioneer and artist of a band submerged in the African-American custom.

The band played a diverse blend of blues, jazz, and narrating. In 1998, Olu delivered his first collection, on the planet: From Natchez to New York. His subsequent collection, Neighborhood, was delivered in 2001. The task highlighted Dr John and Cassandra Wilson.
