AngloGold Ashanti affirms demise of missing Obuasi Miner

Mining monster AngloGold Ashanti has affirmed the passing of one of its diggers who disappeared at its Obuasi territory.

AngloGold in an articulation gave on Monday, May 30, 2021 said his body was found on Saturday, May 29, by mine salvage groups.

The digger was a worker of a mining worker for hire that works with AngloGold.

“Our contemplations stay with the family and friends and family of our expired partner. May his spirit find happiness in the hereafter. Our appreciation goes to the dig salvage groups for their endeavors over this period,” the assertion said.

AngloGold, which has suspended its yearly creation for the mine, said underground mining activities would stay suspended until it was pronounced protected to continue.
