Nonfungible tokens (NFT) are continuing to disrupt the mainstream entertainment sectors, with NFT game startup Animoca Brands teaming up with South Korean record label, talent agency, and music production company Cube Entertainment to create a “K-pop music metaverse.”
The collaboration, which was announced on Monday, will see Animoca and Cube collaborate to develop multimedia NFTs honouring popular actors and K-pop musicians on Cube’s roster.
The NFTs will incorporate graphics like artist portraits and album art, as well as digital music sources like full-length albums.
