Argentina plans to spend $664 million on fighter jets, either from China or U.S.

Argentina is looking at purchasing up to $664-worth of multipurpose fighter jets to protect its airspace, the Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The cycle “is in the specialized monetary and monetary assessment phase of five other options,” the ministry said in an authority articulation.

Argentina is amidst the extreme financial emergency that was exacerbated by the Covid pandemic.
