Bawumia Expresses Gratitude to Ghanaians, Bondholders, and Stakeholders for Supporting Debt Restructuring Efforts

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ghanaians, bondholders, and stakeholders for their unwavering support in the government’s debt restructuring efforts.

Speaking at the Ghana CEO Presidential Gala at the Movenpick Hotel on Thursday, November 7, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the sacrifices made by the business community and bondholders, emphasizing their essential role in stabilizing Ghana’s economy amid challenging times. “I would like to express my gratitude to the Ghanaian people, particularly the business community and bondholders, for the sacrifices you made to support the government’s debt restructuring efforts and safeguard the economy,” he said.

Dr. Bawumia shared an optimistic outlook, noting that Ghana’s economy is now on a path to recovery. He pointed to the government’s debt restructuring initiative as a central element of this economic rebound, highlighting the progress already visible as a result of these efforts.

He assured attendees that the measures being implemented are laying a solid foundation for future growth. Despite the economic difficulties of recent years, Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence that Ghana’s economy is steadily improving and poised for further progress.

He reaffirmed his belief that with continued cooperation across all sectors, Ghana will emerge stronger and more resilient in the years ahead.
