Bawumia meets EU ambassadors to deepen economic, security ties

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer and former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has held a high-level breakfast meeting with European Union (EU) ambassadors in Accra, focusing on strengthening economic cooperation, investment opportunities, and regional security collaboration.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 21, Dr Bawumia said the meeting brought together Heads of Mission from 10 EU member states, Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malta alongside a delegation from the European Union.

According to him, discussions were “constructive and forward-looking,” with emphasis placed on shared priorities between Ghana and its European partners

“Our constructive and forward-looking discussions focused on shared priorities, including regional security, deepening economic cooperation, as well as expanding investment opportunities in Ghana,” he said.

Dr Bawumia further reiterated his commitment to strengthening Ghana’s democratic institutions, promoting sustainable economic growth, and advancing inclusive social development, describing these as central pillars of his national development agenda.
