Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has officially launched the CitizenApp, a revolutionary mobile application designed to enhance public service delivery and improve citizen engagement in Accra.
The CitizenApp serves as a centralized platform where users can access a variety of government services, report issues, and receive real-time updates on public matters. It aims to provide Ghanaians with personalized access to government services, offering a more efficient and transparent way to interact with government agencies.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized the app’s potential to simplify processes, reduce bureaucratic delays, and increase transparency and accountability in government operations.
“What Ghana has achieved with this app is something many advanced countries have yet to implement. We are moving towards a future with major opportunities… This system will make doing business in Ghana easier, simplify tax payments, and streamline processes like obtaining a passport or registering a business,” Dr. Bawumia remarked.
He added that the app will significantly improve communication between the government and citizens, marking an exciting milestone in the country’s digital transformation journey.
The launch event saw the participation of key government officials, technology industry leaders, and members of the public.
