China, Indonesia launch cooperation framework on local-currency settlement

The central banks of China and Indonesia on Monday dispatched a collaboration system for advancing the utilization of local currencies for the settlement of bilateral trade and direct investment between the two nations.
The declaration was offered in expressions gave by the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) and Bank Indonesia (BI) on Monday.
The foundation of this structure denotes a vital achievement in fortifying bilateral monetary participation between the PBOC and BI, said the PBOC proclamation.
This is as per the memorandum of understanding endorsed by the PBOC and BI on Sept. 30, 2020.
