China’s trade deficit with US was $4 billion in September.

According to calculations based on Chinese customs statistics, China’s trade surplus with the US increased to $42 billion in September, up from $37.68 billion in August.

The surplus was $280 billion in the first nine months of the year, up from $237.99 billion in the first eight months of 2021.

The execution of the US-China Economic and Trade Agreement was evaluated by top trade officials from the US and China last week. The US has been pressuring China to keep its promises under a ‘Phase 1’ trade agreement that has eased a long- running trade battle between the world’s two largest economies.
