Dr. Awal Claims Ghana To Generate 5 Billion Dollars From Tourism By December 2022

The Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim has made known his resolution to generate an amount of five billion dollars from his sector by the end of December 2022.


He stated that he’s ready to use his entrepreneurial skills and business expertise to switch the face of the country’s tourism industry by infusing strategic policy direction that would push up the financial profit of the sector.


He made this known at the maiden two-day retreat for management, Head of Agencies under the Ministry, and the staff adding that he’s committed to making his sector the number one contributor to Ghana’s GDP.


According to him, the tourism sector is not doing well as expected hence its fortunes must be turned to change in the economic transformation of the president’s vision.


Dr. Awal noted that he’s going to make Ghana an attractive tourism destination by boosting the sector and would make domestic tourism an agenda to attract about a million local tourist visitation yearly to create massive employment opportunities for citizens
