Education Minister Announces Limited Teacher Recruitment for Senior High Schools

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education, has announced a limited recruitment drive for teachers in Senior High Schools. In a Facebook post dated July 30, Dr. Adutwum revealed that the recruitment process will begin next week. He advised potential candidates to stay alert for details about the application process and the specific areas of focus for the recruitment.

“I’m pleased to announce that a limited recruitment drive for high school teachers will commence next week,” stated Dr. Adutwum. “Stay tuned for more details on how to apply and the specific areas of focus for this recruitment.”

This announcement follows the Ministry of Health’s (MoH) recent declaration of the recruitment of 15,200 nurses and midwives, starting on Monday, August 5, 2024. In a statement released on Friday, July 26, 2024, the MoH confirmed that the Ministry of Finance (MoF) has provided the necessary financial clearance for the recruitment.

Interested and qualified candidates for the MoH positions are expected to apply through the MoH’s online application portal, where they can select their preferred agency under the Ministry. The application period will close on Friday, August 23, 2024. The Ministry emphasized that the recruitment process is free, warning applicants against paying any fees to individuals or entities claiming to facilitate the process.
