Facebook terminates Trump accounts for two years

He was suspended indefinitely in January following his actions leading to the US Capitol riots, which Facebook said severely violated its rules. Last month, Facebook’s Oversight Board criticized the open-ended penalty.
Meanwhile, Mr. Trump says the move by Facebook is an insult” to the millions who voted for him in last year’s presidential election adding that his followers should not allow Facebook to get away with this censoring and silencing.
The firm is also restricting a policy shielding politicians from some content moderation rules. It said it will no longer give politicians immunity for deceptive or abusive content based on their comments being newsworthy.
