Former Ghana Ambassador to China Says China exporting cocoa not a cause for alarm

But In an interview with Citi news , Ambassador Boateng stated that supported several variables, China might not be ready to produce cocoa at a rate that might be alarming for Ghana.

The former Ambassador however stated that the event presented a chance for the country to start watching other products made up of Cocoa to remain relevant.

“I think what we should always be watching is what proportion more can we do with our cocoa. that’s the way i might check out it. In terms of our competitive advantage, I still think that we as a nation have more room to develop more products with our cocoa.”

“Everybody talks about chocolate but there are tons of other product lines like wines, soaps, body creams of all kinds , desserts and other differing types of things we will do.”

The Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS) revealed that South China’s island province of Hainan exported cocoa beans to Belgium for the primary time.

The batch of cocoa is reported to possess been produced in Xinglong, a township of Hainan with a tropical climate.
