Denmark is set to contribute four F-35 fighter jets to NATO’s Arctic Sentry mission, according to Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

The mission, launched by NATO to bolster its presence in the Arctic, comes amid heightened alliance tensions following the U.S. president’s interest in acquiring Greenland.
Poulsen said the F-35 deployment will enhance NATO’s regional presence and highlight Denmark’s role as an active ally in the Arctic and North Atlantic.
He also indicated that the United States is expected to participate in the mission, speaking ahead of the Munich Security Conference in Germany.
