Fuquan Johnson, comedian, was pronounced dead Friday night (September 3) following an alleged overdose, according to sources. Johnson, 42, is said to have overdosed on fentanyl-laced cocaine at a Venice house, according to TMZ.

According to the report, two additional people were pronounced deceased at the site. Kate Quigley, a comedian who lives next door to the residence, was taken to the hospital in severe condition. The identities of the two additional partygoers have yet to be revealed.

The cause of death for all three individuals will be determined by medical examiners. According to TMZ, all four attendees ingested the tainted cocaine. Fentanyl, a prohibited substance, is a synthetic opioid that is 100 times stronger than morphine. The LAPD is looking into who supplied the painkiller doses. Luke Barnett, an American actor, writer, and producer, tweeted about Johnson’s death, referring to him as a “local icon in the North Hollywood community.” In honour of Johnson, a drink was left out at the North Hollywood cocktail lounge NoBAR, which Johnson frequented.
