It’s being reported that the Register General Department (GRD) says clients shall provide their National Identification Number and Tax Identification Number (TIN) from Thursday, 1st April to Tuesday, April 30th when registering a new company.

The National Identification Authority is however said to mount a desk at the RGD premises to issue Ghana Card for clients who are registering their businesses and TIN will also only be generated in the office temporarily for the transition period.

The Registrar General, Mrs. Jemima Oware in a press statement noted that it has become very necessary after President Akufo Addo made it known that all National Identification Number will become TIN and SSNIT numbers during the 2021 State of Nations Address.

She added that the directive applies to all registration types like companies limited by shares and by guarantee, unlimited liability companies sole proprietorships, partnerships, external companies, and subsidiary businesses.
