GITFiC Presents “Actualising the African Economic Vision” Book on AfCFTA to Dagbon Overlord’s Representative

In a proactive endeavor aimed at enhancing comprehension and awareness of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GITFiC) has undertaken a notable initiative by presenting a practical book titled “Actualising the African Economic Vision” on the AfCFTA to a representative of the Overlord of Dagbon.

The presentation ceremony was conducted with solemnity at the University of Development Studies (UDS), where Prof. Yakubu S. Nantogmah, the Chief of Bogu in the Savulugu-Naton District of the Northern Region, gracefully accepted the informative material on behalf of the esteemed Yaa-Naa, the Overlord of Dagbon. Distinguished dignitaries and members of the community were present to witness the occasion. The practical book serves as an enlightening manual, elucidating the objectives, benefits, and implications of the AfCFTA for trade and economic progress across Africa.

During the event, Mr. Selasi Koffi Ackom, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference, reiterated the organization’s steadfast commitment to disseminating knowledge and fostering education regarding the AfCFTA. He emphasized the crucial importance of ensuring that stakeholders at all levels, including traditional leaders, possess a comprehensive understanding of the myriad opportunities presented by this continental trade agreement.

In his expression of gratitude for the thoughtful gesture, Prof. Yakubu S. Nantogmah underscored the pivotal significance of embracing and engaging with initiatives such as the AfCFTA.
