GITFIC’s CEO pays a working visit to Namibia’s Central Bank Governor

Mr. Selasi Koffi Ackom C.E.O of Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GITFIC) and a spear-header of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Ghana in a recent visit to the Governor of Namibia’s Central Bank on 9th April 2021 discussed several issues including their participation in the upcoming 5th Conference on Trade and Finance slated for the middle of the year in Accra, Ghana. The Governor was accompanied to the meeting by his Deputy and the Head of Legal & Research.

The visit and meeting were facilitated by the Namibian High Commission in Accra.

The fruitful deliberation had the Namibian Central Bank Governor accept the invitation to represent southern African zone in the upcoming Conference. Mr Ackom presented a “Crystal Plague” logo of Accra ; Commercial Capital of Africa to Namibia through the Governor and entourage.

Following declaration made on the 27th October 2020 at the 4th Conference by Senior Minister of the Republic of Ghana who represented the President of Ghana, the Mayor of Accra and Industry Titans last year.  The 5th Conference would focus on Finance, Trade Finance with strict emphasis on the Single Continental Payment Platform. GITFIC believes that the issue of the Continental Payment Platform should be spearheaded by Central Banks on the Continent to avoid exploitation and any other excesses. The theme and sub-theme on the 5th Conference will be tackled in the coming days and shared with the World and Africa with the help of GITFIC’s Media Partners.
