Glenn Foster, former NFL player, died in police custody; age 31.

Foster was arrested around midnight on December 4… after cops say he led them on a wild police chase. According to Reform Police Department Chief Richard Black, an officer observed Foster traveling at 92 mph in a 45 mph zone, but when the officer attempted to stop Foster, the former football player fled.

Foster, according to Black, eluded cops for approximately 8 miles, driving into the nearby town of Gordo… where cops eventually deployed spike strips to get him to slow down.

Foster was eventually apprehended there, according to Black, though he was “uncooperative,” adding that cops had to wrestle him to the ground in order to get the cuffs on him.

Foster was booked into the county jail on Saturday, according to Black, but what happened to the former New Orleans Saints defensive lineman after he arrived is unknown. 1:32 p.m. PT According to Alabama law enforcement, Foster died in custody on December 6, 2018.

They also stated that an investigation is ongoing and that “no further information is available” at this time. Glenn Foster, a former NFL defensive lineman who had three sacks for the New Orleans Saints in 2013, is said to have died… just two days after being arrested in Alabama. He was 31 years old when he died.
