Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed strong optimism about the National Democratic Congress (NDC) emerging victorious in the 2024 general elections and securing a parliamentary majority.
After casting his ballot in Bole Bamboi, Mahama praised the smooth voting process and noted the positive reception of the NDC’s campaign message among voters.
“I am confident that we will secure victory and a majority in parliament,” Mahama stated, expressing hope that the voting process was seamless nationwide.
Similarly, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia also voiced confidence in a win for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as he cast his vote.
“By the grace of God, I am very hopeful of winning this election. We have worked hard and communicated our message effectively to the people,” Bawumia said. “I believe that when the ballots are counted, the NPP, myself, and our parliamentary candidates will emerge victorious.”
The closely contested election has seen both candidates exude confidence, as Ghanaians decide the nation’s next leader and parliamentary composition.
