Naa Professor Edmund Delle informs that it is in this light that he throws his weight behind some persons he believes are most qualified to handle the CPP going into the CPP Delegate Elections come Saturday.

He said this on Thursday in an interview with the gitficonline.com during which he recounted the many successes chocked by certain personalities within the CPP family he believed should be made to lead the party.

Key among them was Hajia Hamdatu Haruna who had served the party from a tender age when she was introduced to the CPP from the PNC, hinting that she had risen through the party’s structures to become the National Women’s Organizer and the 1st National Vice Person. He informed that she understood the party structures and had made good ties with almost everyone within the party.

“She is loved by the core grassroots of the party.  Despite her few flaws she still stands tall amongst other candidates vying for the position of National Chairperson and Leader. Hamdatu stands tall and has been the face of the party since my resignation. She is able to rally hard and raise funds to get the party going. I pledge my full support as your immediate National Chairman and Leader to replace me with her. I will continue to support her to steer the affairs of the party,”Naa  Prof Delle said.

Another comrade, the professor endorsed was J. B. Daniels whom he described as a loyal servant of “our great tradition (The CPP)”. The professor informed that Mr. Daniels understood everything about the CPP, had served the party for more than 25years and was considered as a CPP Historian.

“Very affable, distinguished, cut-out, opinionated and very independent with his own mind. If today, he is asking for the party’s node to serve as the 1st Vice, it is only fair that we rally behind him and vote massively for him. JB will never let the party down. JB Daniels stands tall amongst all other persons vying for the position. I ask you the delegates to see and compare and make a precise decision,” he said.

The professor then turned to Nana Yaw Jantuah describing him as God sent at this point in the life of the CPP, a time, Naa Prof. Delle said, the CPP needed “a strong, dedicated, quality substance-person with little or no blemish to serve as the chief scribe of the party.”

He added that, “We saw her during her service to our nation as the PRO for the Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC). Very distinguished, affable, independent, decisive and competent, and she is always in her right mind and will be committed to serving our great party as your next General Secretary. Her father remains an integral part of our party. Delegates, I humbly appeal to you to look nowhere else. Nana Yaa Jantuah should be your choice.”

The professor turned to Yirimambo Moses Ambing and asked delegates to vote for him, saying, Moses was already a known face in the party, having served the party in several capacities. He said he was well educated, capable, and competent and in the position to stand shoulders to shoulder with the likes of Sammy Awuku of the NPP and will floor Joshua Akamba of the NDC any day.

Naa Professor Delle informed that as CPP Regional Youth Organizer, Mr. Ambing demonstrated his strength and weakness, his love and dedication for our party; “he represents and continues to represent the party on the media front. This is why when I needed someone to handle the party’s Database Centre from my Special Aide; Selasi, Yirimambo was the first to come to mind. He asked delegates to vote for Yirimambo as their National Organizer, pledging to support him behind the scene to serve the party better. “I humbly ask you to compare him to other candidates vying for the same position and decide come Saturday.”

In endorsing Aisha Futa (Obatampa), he informed that, “Just as she is affectionately known within the rank and file of the party, Aisha has remained loyal to the party. Her commitment to our party astonishes me sometimes. She has held the party together as your Women’s Organizer for the last four years. Since she took over from Hamdatu in 2016 at Sunyani, she has worked tirelessly to sustain the forward match of the party.”

The professor indicated that Futa coordinated diligently with all regional, constituency and polling station women’s wing of the CPP, therefore entreated delegates to keep her in office.

He ended by endorsing Osei Kofi Acquah, calling him a necessary evil with smiles. The Professor indicated that Mr. Acquah had become the face of the CPP in the Ashanti region and remained “my preferred choice as your incoming National Youth Organizer. My young friend Osei understands the meaning of commitment and hard-work. “

Naa Prof. Delle informed that Mr. Acquah had proved himself and therefore needed the mandate of the delegates. “We need a vibrant person like him to keep the youth active and productive within our ranks and on the national level. I will support Osei when he assumes office as our next National Youth Organizer. He can match the NPP and NDC Youth Organizers any day. He’s already been doing this.”
