Nana B: I’ll work with leadership to return NPP to power in 2028

Newly elected National Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has pledged to work with the party’s leadership and members to secure a return to power in the 2028 general elections.

Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, expressed gratitude to delegates for electing him to the position at the party’s recently concluded National Delegates Conference in Kumasi.

He described his election as a promotion and an honour, stressing that he was prepared to join forces with the party’s leadership to work towards the NPP’s return to government.

“I am exceedingly grateful to our delegates for electing me as the National 2nd Vice Chairman of our great party. After serving our party as National Youth Organiser and National Organiser over the last 8 years, I take promotion with great honour and pledge to join forces with our able leadership in ensuring that by the grace of God, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is elected President of the Republic of Ghana in the 2028 General elections.”s

The new leadership is expected to lead the party’s reorganisation and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2028 general elections, following the NPP’s defeat in the 2024 elections.

Nana B said the task ahead is clearly defined, with the new executives expected to work collectively to strengthen the party and challenge the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the next election.

“Our Job is clearly cut out for us and we would work to present a formidable front that will wrestle power from this repressive NDC government.”

He also congratulated the NPP and its members for what he described as a successful electoral process, while urging the newly elected officers to work together in pursuit of the party’s political objectives.

“I congratulate us all for a very successful process. To fellow elected officers congratulations let’s work together to deliver power for the NPP.”

The National Second Vice Chairman further called for unity and cooperation among the new executives as the party begins preparations for the next general elections.
