U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expects the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure measure to pass on Thursday.
Nancy Pelosi, the 52nd Speaker of the House of Representatives, spoke about the infrastructure package on Sunday. She stated that the bill, which is intended to help fund bridges, roads, airports, schools, and other infrastructure projects, will go into effect on Monday.
According to reports, Pelosi has yet to set a date for the $3.5 trillion social welfare and ecology measure to be voted on. Not to mention that the bill has divided her Democratic colleagues and is still being negotiated. Pelosi spoke to Democrats in a letter posted by her office, saying,
We’ll start debating the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework on the House Floor tomorrow, September 27, and vote on it on Thursday, September 30, the day before the surface transportation authorization expires.
