Soulja Boy advises fans to be more cautious of their surroundings the next time they attend a crowded concert like Astroworld… but organisers must also offer a safe environment.

On Thursday, we caught up with the rapper in New York City and asked him what musicians are doing to avoid another horrific scene like the one we witnessed in Houston from occurring again.

Soulja says it will take a team effort to avert another catastrophe, adding that it is also important to supporters to enjoy themselves without becoming too wild and to be aware of what is going on around them.

As you may be aware, the death toll from the Travis Scott concert has now risen to nine. SB claims that people can become engrossed in the concert, especially if everyone has their phones out, and that this is when awful things can happen.

However, it is not just up to the fans… Soulja believes that venues and organisers must take the necessary safeguards for everyone’s safety, even if it is viewed as an inconvenience. Surprisingly, he made no mention of the artist’s responsibilities.

Soulja, who says he’s praying for everyone affected by Astroworld, explains why his forthcoming gigs will be safe… and why he believes the pandemic played a role in the tragedy.
