The commissioner of police in India has issued a public warning about cryptocurrency scams

Shikha Goel, the additional commissioner of police in Hyderabad, India, warned Indian citizens about the rise in cybercrime and advised them to avoid transferring cryptocurrencies to unauthorized private wallets at an event hosted by the city police.

Goel emphasized the various methods actively used by fraudsters to defraud investors, including lucrative investment opportunities, illegitimate bank transfers, and cryptocurrencies.

Goel added that he recognizes the growing number of Indian crypto users.
