Twitter has announced that it’s picked Ghana because the headquarters for its Africa operations.

This piece of great news was shared by the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey on his official Twitter account.

A blog post by Twitter explaining why they settled on Ghana because the headquarters for its African operations read:

Today, in line with our growth strategy, we’re excited to announce that we are now actively building a team in Ghana. to really serve the general public conversation, we must be more immersed within the rich and vibrant communities that drive the conversations happening a day across the African continent.

As a champion for democracy, Ghana may be a supporter of free speech, online freedom, and therefore the Open Internet, of which Twitter is additionally an advocate.
