Vaccines sets to be manufactured in Ghana, Prez Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo has stationed a committee to look into the local manufacturing of vaccines. The Committee has started doing its homework speedily to reach its laid objective.

This effect was brought to light move when scientists in countries across world are working tirelessly to develop vaccines to meet growing demand especially in the plight of COVID-19.

Minister of Health Kwaku Agyemang Manu announced this during the launch of the Africa Vaccination week in Accra.

He disclosed that three pharmaceutical companies have started building factories for vaccine manufacturing in Ghana.

If Ghana works to manufacture vaccines, it will be the second in Africa after Nigeria who last month developed two vaccines against COVID-19, yet to be approved.
