Kpone. Oct. 2. Mrs.Doris Emefa Agbezhulor Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Electoral Director has revealed that the limited voters registration has so far been been very peaceful.

In an interview with Gitficonline.com in Kpone, Mrs Agblezhulor noted that, the political parties in the municipality have corporated very well with the electoral commission in the Kpone Katamanso Constituency .

According to her, the electoral commission would work to ensure transparency before, during and after the December 7th elections adding that, the ongoing registration exercise was to offer prospective voters who could not register during the main registration exercise the opportunity to get onto the electoral roll

She added that the commission have put in place the necessary measures to ensure registrants who came to the district office for the registration adhere to the various Covid 19 protocols to help curb the spread of the virus.

Mrs. Agbezhulor further opined that, the commission was compelled to include the online registration kits to prevent double registrations.

She however informed that she could not determine how many registrants could be captured onto the electoral roll during the limited registration exercise which was expected to end on Friday 2nd October 2020.

18 years old Micheal Tetteh an indegine in Kpone stated that he was happy to be on the voter’s register.saying he could not register during the main exercise because he was not 18 during that time.

‘I’m happy I would also vote for the first time’ he added.

184 new voters were captured with the offline registration kits whilst 24 prospective voters got registered with the online registration kits in the Kpone Katamanso constituency
