President Donald Trump and Joe Biden spent 90 minutes making claims about each other, interrupting each other and at times insulting each other at the first presidential debate ahead of the 2020 election in November.
The discourse between the two men became personal, leaving American voters with little insight into their policies or plans for the next four years in the White House.
So, what do members of their own party make of their performance? Democratic strategist Jamal Simmons and then Republican strategist Matt Mackowiak, give us their verdict on the night.
