Zambia’s ambassador to Turkey to be laid to rest

Mortal remains of Dr Joseph Chilengi ambassador of Zambia to Turkey to arrive in the country at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport aboard a Turkish Military Aircraft at 20:30 hours. He died on Tuesday 11th may, 2021 after a short illness at Güven Hospital in Ankara while undergoing medical treatment.
He would be laid to rest on Monday17th may, 2021at leopards hill memorial park, Lusaka. Funeral service would be held at miracle life church in Roma Township off Zambezi road at 10:00 GMT. National mourning declared by the president Edgar Chagwa Lungu, flags would fly half mast and all form of entertainment activities would be at a standstill from 06:00 to 18:00 hours.
Still observing strict covid 19 measures a total number of 250 people consisting of family members and elected representative of the government is to attend .strictly in a statement by secretary to the cabinet Dr Simon Miti.
